Reflection

Reflection on the Labe (Elbe)
The Labe river often has swans, ducks, and over water loving wildlife.

Reflecting on The Labe

I hear the blowing wind,

quacking, croaking ducks

tweeting, twittering birds.

When first I looked upon this water,

it was new; I’d never knew I’d be here.

Now two years have past since first I saw it.

Here I sit,

Reflecting on The Labe

I have know joy.

I have know sorrow.

I have known love.

I have know fear,

Reflecting on the Labe.

The river of Labe is filled with life.

Cygnets and ducklings have hatched from eggs.

Mothers, fathers, children, and families

walking the path winding along both sides of the river.

Friends, siblings, singles, and couples,

watch and listen while sitting silent or talking aloud.

Here I sit watching life.

Here I sit watching life unfold;

Reflecting on the Labe.
