Going, Going, Going*

Wind me up for extended use

Watch my gears keep turning and turning

Don’t switch off the power button

Keep the switch on in on position

Or it might not come back on

Hour by hour my battery weakens

Minute by minute the power drains

Second by second the power closer to outing

Plug me in wait 8 hours

The cycle begins again and again

Long years of this constant habit

The battery no longer charges

The cost to repair is so expensive but priceless

*society keeps pressing us to keep going like a winding old watch or rechargeable battery, but be careful not to forget to “charge/wind” your own battery. Being very sick is more costly to get better, more than if you took care of you.
