Having faith is not a crutch, but a help and guide for the pain in life. When emotional or physical pain keep you frazzled during the day and awake at night, it is comforting and healing to look for someone to guide you to healing. It is comforting to have someone show you many before have had the pain, and it makes you resilient. The people that are in the most pain, if healed, are the people who have compassion, empathy, and love toward humanity and nature. Seeking the creation around us can show us how even the death of something isn’t temporary. After a tree loses its leaves in the winter, it isn’t void of life. Its essence is growing into new life. A bulb isn’t attractive when it is first planted in the ground. During the winter, it thrives, pushes, and preserves to become its beautiful budding self in the spring. Its growth pain made it more beautiful than if it had never pushed through the shell and soil covering it. Faith that life is never gone. Faith that spring comes despite the death of racing thoughts and worries is the key to becoming the best person you can be. Don’t fight the rain and wind and storm. The roots of beauty are pushing through.
