Lake Life

Luminescent particles tumble starboard.
Glittering sands crawl to port.
Minuscule pieces swirl at my legs and feet.
Chip diamonds respond to the wind, swirling hither and tither.
Foaming waves slap and swoosh upon the shore.
Lakeweed hovers above the sand, caught in the moving water, and flushed back to the water.
Gulls preen their feathers as the wind blows them around.
A lone gull flys aways just before it’s engulfed by a wave.
A flock of gulls is chased by the ebbing tide, flapping to get away.
The foaming waves catches the birds.
