Out of Eden

I weep and heave for our broken
fellowship.
I cringe for not holding You close to me.
Why did I choose to slam the gate,
and throw away the key?
What possessed me to choose death?
Why did I listen to the lies that broke
our unity?
I’d give everything to have
one
more
day
meeting You in pure innocence.
